Choosing can be overwhelming. Part of our service at Artisan Eyeworks is to help you find eyewear that complements your features, but that expresses something about you to the outer world. Your glasses are usually the very first thing that people see when they meet you.

All of the companies we represent manufacture their frames in Europe, Japan or the United States. They are not budget frames with some random designer’s name affixed to the side, but glasses for their own sake. You will notice that almost none of our frames have any visible branding. Yet to the initiated, there will be no mistaking iconic frames like l.a. Eyeworks, Theo, Anne et Valentin or Masunaga.

Most of the glasses found at other shops are manufactured by a few conglomerates. In fact, one company is responsible for 80% of the glasses sold. Some of them are brand names you recognize well. They are all fairly generic though, mass produced in the same Chinese factories. Like so many things these days, they are meant to have a limited service life.

All of our ophthalmic frames can be made as prescription eyeglasses, but all are great as prescription reading glasses, dedicated prescription computer glasses, or prescription sunglasses. They can even be made into non-prescription reading glasses.
